Livni urges PM to cancel Knesset recess in light of protest

Opposition Chairwoman Tzipi Livni has called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin to cancel the Knesset's summer recess in light of the growing popular protest movement.

"The Knesset cannot go on recess next week," she said. "I urge Netanyahu to accept our call – the Knesset must continue working, and the reform in response to what's happening on the streets must be done through it.
