Finance Ministry director general resigns

The Finance Ministry Director General Haim Shani has resigned, most likely due to the tent protest and the housing crisis. Shani served as director general since 2009.
The Finance Ministry recently estimated that the acceding to protestor demands will cost the treasury NIS 60 billion ($17.5 billion). (Tani Goldstein)
