Medical Association chief: Cosmetic treatment won't quell struggle

Israeli Medical Association Chairman Leonid Eidelman said during a demonstration in front of the Knesset that the doctors' struggle for better working conditions will not be quelled with "a cosmetic treatment."
Hundreds cheered for Eidelman, who has been on a hunger strike for a week. "We continue with our just battle," he told the crowd. "We entered Jerusalem with a stretcher that carries the dying public health system. The prime minister can and must shoulder the burden of the stretcher." (Yair Altman)
