PA public employees to go on general strike

Palestinian public employees union head Bassam Zakarna announced that the workers will go on an general strike on Tuesday until further notice in protest against their salaries not being paid in full.

This is the second time that the Palestinian Authority, which is suffering an economic crisis, has withheld the civil servants' paychecks, the last time being when Israel delayed transferring tax money to the PA following the Fatah-Hamas reconciliation agreement.
