Palestinian sources reported Monday that two youths were killed before dawn during an IDF raid on the West Bank village of Kalandia.
The army says the raid's aim was to make arrests. The sources claim soldiers engaged in "uncontrolled" fire and this is what killed the two young men.

The IDF confirmed overnight activity in the village by the Kfir Brigade and said riots broke out during the raid. It later added that the force had opened fire after five soldiers were injured by stones.
The army added that it has received reports of the casualties and is currently investigating the incident, which occurred on the first day of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Three Palestinians were arrested.
Meanwhile the Palestinian Authority condemned the deaths of the two men. PA spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina claimed the incident was an attempt by the Israeli government to escalate violence just one month before the Palestinians ask for UN recognition in September.
