Vilnai: 40% of people won't have gas masks due to budget issues

Home Front Defense Minister Matan Vilnai said that "40% of the population will remain without protective kits over the coming years due to budge limitations."
Vilnai, who spoke during a Finance Committee meeting, said that 60% of the population will receive the protective kits, which include gas masks, by next year, but part of the remaining 40% will have to wait until 2018 to receive them. Committee Chairman MK Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism) urged the Finance Ministry to address the budget limitations. "Lucky a missile assault wasn't directed at us," he added. (Zvi Lavi)
