India: Body of Israeli tourist located

Israeli search team recovers body of Einat Tabori who fell off a cliff in India. Israeli embassy in New Delhi begins identification, transport process

An Israeli search and rescue team located the body of 27-year-old Einat Tabori, an Israeli tourist who reportedly fell to her death off a cliff on Tuesday.

Tabori was hiking in the Parvatti valley with friends when she tripped and fell off a cliff and into a reservoir. An Israeli tourist traveling with her called the Magnus International Search and Rescue Company and informed them what had happened.

The Israeli search and rescue crew, lead by Yechiel ''Hilik'' Magnus, left Israel on Tuesday to locate the missing woman in India. The team found Tabori's body Wednesday morning.

The Israeli embassy in New Delhi is heading the identification process and is keeping the Foreign Ministry abreast of developments. The Foreign Ministry informed Tabori's family of her death.

Following the official identification process, preparations will be made to transfer Tabori's body back to Israel.
