Plans for 930 homes in Har Homa approved

The Interior Ministry says the Jerusalem district has approved construction plans for 930 housing units in the neighborhood of Har Homa in the capital, which lies beyond the 1967 lines.

The move means that the land may now be sold to private contractors in order to begin construction. Twenty percent of the apartments belonging to the plan, which was initiated by the Housing and Construction Ministry, are to be small because Interior Minister Eli Yishai ordered small homes built in order to allow for their purchase by households with lesser incomes.
