Israelis residing in the US held small protests identifying with Israel's national uprisings in New York's Times Square and even the White House, pitching tents and holding signs that play on the Hebrew language, saying: "B is a tent".
"Our friends are sleeping in tents throughout Israel in an effort to lead to significant policy changes, and this is our way of supporting them from afar and encouraging them to continue their important activity until we return to Israel to participate in the struggle," the protestors in New York wrote.

Organizers in Washington pitched a tent with a sign in Hebrew, saying: "The people demand social justice", a slogan of the popular uprising.
They say they received special permission from police. "We are demonstrating solidarity with the protest and the crisis in Israel, and bringing it to the American public," organizers wrote.
They have also associated themselves with a social movement called Stop the Machine, which is currently calling on people "who seek peace, economic justice, human rights and a healthy environment" to travel to Washington for a rally on October 6, the 10-year anniversary of the war in Afghanistan.
Stop the Machine are calling for an uprising similar to the Arab Spring.
