Diesel oil taxes reduced; electricity prices up 12%
Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz issued a temporary order to reduce taxes on diesel oil used for production of electricity by 69%, setting them at a similar rate to diesel oil used for industry.
The move will enable a 12% increase in the price of electricity instead of 20% as previously planned. (Tani Goldstein)
