Saudi Arabia recalls ambassador to Syria
The Saudi king has said in a statement carried by an Arab news channel that the kingdom is recalling its ambassador to Syria for consultations.
King Abdullah also said that Riyadh does not accept what is happening in Syria, according to the statement read out on the pan Arab Al Arabiya network late Sunday. The monarch also said the Syrian government crackdown on protesters is disproportionate. (AP)
