Fuel excise tax reduction approved

The Knesset Finance Committee on Wednesday approved an excise tax reduction on fuel used to manufacture electricity. The reduction will be retroactive from February at a rate of 69% and will be in place until the end of 2011.
The committee chief Knesset member Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism) announced that the committee will hold another meeting in November to examine an additional reduction in 2012. (Zvi Lavi)
