Activists say the Syrian army has stormed a northwestern town near Turkey's border a day after authorities declared the military pulled out of the region.
The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said troops stormed Saraqeb early Thursday, detaining at least 100 people. The Local Coordination Committees, activists who help organize and document the protests, said explosions and gunfire were heard after the army stormed the area. (AP)
