Petah Tikva housing protest activists: Police preventing protest
None
Activists taking part in the socio-economic protests in Petah Tikva said that the police and the municipality "are trying to prevent a protest rally planned for Saturday night" and claimed that the official bodies had been "harassing us" over the past three days.
"They work for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and not for the people," said the activists. The Yarkon Subdistrict Police department said in response that "the protestors have failed to meet the law's requirements." The municipality added that it would not approve the event because the organizers failed to issue approval certificates from the police department, Magen David Adom and the fire department.
