IDF commander dismissed after 11 soldiers go AWOL

An IDF sergeant-major in a company serving with Kfir Brigade's Duchifat Battalion was dismissed after 11 of his soldiers went AWOL in protest against poor service conditions. An inquiry into the matter found his conduct faulty.
Army sources noted that regardless of the decision to dismiss the commander, the 11 soldiers' behavior is unacceptable. (Hanan Greenberg)
