500 US teens set sail in protest against flotillas

A number of yachts carrying 500 US teens - members of the World Mizrachi Movement - have set out from Ashkelon to Ashdod in protest against the Gaza-bound flotillas previously held by activist groups. They are also calling for the release of captive IDF soldier Gilad Shalit.

MK Zevulun Orlev (Habayit Hayehudi), who heads the World Mizrachi Movement and is taking part in the convoy, said: "We wanted to allow teens to take part in an activity in support of Gilad Shalit and to protest against the flotillas in solidarity for the State of Israel." (Shmulik Hadad)
