Report: Israel and Hamas to discuss Shalit in Cairo today

None

A second round of indirect talks between Israel and Hamas regarding a possible prisoner swap exchange will take place in Cairo on Monday, the London-based Arab daily Al-Hayat has reported.

An Egyptian official told the paper, "It is still early to talk about progress but there are positive signs. If there is a real wish to sign a deal and If Israel shows willingness to pay the price Hamas is demanding – the deal would be completed."

Last week, the paper reported that head of Hamas' military wing Ahmed Jabari and Israel's new envoy to the talks David Meidan discussed the matter separately with Egyptian officials (Elior Levy).
