Tel Aviv chief rabbi: Social protest just, reasonable

Tel Aviv Chief Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau told the leaders of the social protests in a meeting that he will use his ties with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to further their cause. "I will ask him today what is scope of the Trachtenberg committee's authority, and whether he will accept the committee's conclusions," he said. 

The rabbi added that in his opinion, "the protest is just and reasonable." (Yoav Zitun)
