A federal appeals panel has upheld the conviction of a former US soldier serving five consecutive life sentences for killing an Iraqi family while he was on active duty in Iraq.
Three judges on the US 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday in the case of former Pfc. Steven Dale Green, finding that he was properly tried in civilian court under the Military Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Act. (AP)
