Egyptian forces kill 2 Sudanese trying to cross into Israel
Cairo officials say border patrol shot two men trying to infiltrate Israel illegally
Egyptian officials said border guards shot and killed two Sudanese men who were trying to infiltrate into Israel overnight.
Security officials said that the guards discovered a group of Africans near the border and ordered them to stop. The two ignored the warnings and were shot dead. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not permitted to talk to reporters.

They said four other Africans surrendered and were not harmed. The incident took place about 10 kilometers south of the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza.
Egyptian border guards frequently encounter African migrants trying to sneak into Israel and open fire at them, drawing criticism from human rights groups.
Thousands of Africans try to reach Israel every year, seeking work or asylum.
