IDF: We thought attacks would take place at night
A preliminary investigation by the IDF has revealed that the Shin Bet had intelligence about a terror cell ready to infiltrate Israel, but authorities assumed any attacks would take place at night.
In addition, the probe revealed that the cell entered Israel from underneath an Egyptian outpost, in an area in which officials did not believe an attack could take place. (Hanan Greenberg)
