Report: Islamic Jihad chief en route to Cairo to discuss escalation in south

Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Ramadan Abdullah Shallah is expected to arrive in Cairo to discuss the escalation in Gaza with Hamas officials, Egypt's al-Ahram weekly reported on Sunday.
According to the report Hamas has been trying to convince Islamic Jihad to cease its rocket fire at Israel. (Elior Levy)
