Foreign Affairs and Defense committee convenes in the south

At an emergency session held over the recent escalation in the south, the Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Shaul Mofaz (Kadima) said Sunday that "Israel must decide whether it will continue with the intolerable reality of a war of attrition or make an unequivocal decision with regards to Hamas, including hits against its leaders and major damages to its infrastructure going so far as to bringing about the collapse of its reign in Gaza."
The emergency session was held in Ashdod, from there the committee members will go on to tour additional southern cities. Another session will be held later in Ashkelon. (Moran Azulay)
