Peres hosts Egyptian diplomat for Ramadan dinner

President Shimon Peres held a Ramadan dinner for senior Arab sector officials at his Jerusalem home. Peres told Egyptian diplomat Mustafa al-Kuni, who was in attendance, that he has great respect for the Egyptian people.

"They say that at 9pm a ceasefire is to go into effect, and I pray that it would," he said at the event. "I don't see a reason for anyone to want war and shootings." (Ronen Medzini)
