The Islamic Jihad released a statement saying that the organization is no rush to declare a ceasefire. Moreover, the organization stated that Israel is the one that has asked for a break in fighting due to the blows it has suffered.
Earlier, a senior member of the Islamic Jihad confirmed that representatives of the organization took part in the talks of a ceasefire, which took place in Cairo. Moreover, it was reported that the rocket fire was expected to stop at 9pm. A barrage of rockets was shot at the Ashkelon region after that time.
