None

The Trachtenberg Committee, appointed by the prime minister to resolve the growing social unrest, convened Tuesday morning at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute and met with representatives of the different sectors in order to discuss measures to help improve the socioeconomic situation.

At the opening of the meeting, Manuel Trachtenberg, the head of the committee, said: "We are here today to listen to the public. We may hear things we never thought of before. We believe that the public's suggestions are vital in drafting our recommendations." (Omri Efraim)
