Foreign Ministry: Thailand didn't announce recognition of Palestinian state

Foreign Ministry officials said that contrary to reports, Thailand did not declare that it would support the Palestinian statehood bid in the United Nations next month.
"Fatah member Nabil Shaath met with a foreign ministry official in Bangkok, but no official guarantee was made. The decision has to be made by Thailand's new cabinet, which has yet to convene. They have definitely not made a decision, and are still contemplating their stance" said an official. (Ronen Medzini)
