Association launches appeal against rapist officer's sentence mitigation

The Association of Rape Crisis Centers launched an appeal with the High Court against the IDF's parol board decision to mitigate the sentence imposed on Colonel Ataf Zahar, an IDF officer convicted of the rape and sexual assault of a female subordinate.
The association who represents the victim claims that Ataf's sentence was mitigated even though he never expressed regret for his actions. (Omri Ephraim)
