Danish Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen has called parliamentary elections for Sept. 15.
Loekke Rasmussen, who leads a center-right coalition government, told reporters Friday that he had informed head of state Queen Margrethe of his decision. In Denmark the prime minister can call elections at any time, but no later than four years after the last vote, which was held in November 2007. (AP)
