4 protesters arrested near separation fence

Border Guard officers arrested three Israeli and one Palestinian left-wing activists who intended to stage a protest in the village al-Walaja. The Supreme Court approved the construction of a separation fence through the village, which is located south of Jerusalem.

Some 40 Palestinian and Israeli activists arrived on the site. They argued that a warrant declaring the region a closed military zone was not in effect. (Yair Altman and Omri Efraim)
