Abbas: UN bid is not meant to isolate Israel

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that the PA's bid for UN recognition, which is to be submitted in September, is not meant to isolate Israel or cause a conflict with the US.

Abbas is expected to meet with the European Union's chief diplomat, Catherine Ashton, to discuss the EU's stance on the UN bid. (Elior Levy)
