PA to release 40 prisoners; mostly Hamas members

The Palestinian Authority is expected to release 40 prisoners, most of them Hamas members, ahead of the Muslim holiday Eid ul-Fitr celebrated this weekend.
Hamas leader, Salah al-Bardawil, said: "This decision is part of the reconcilement agreement, but the Palestinian Authority must release all of the Hamas prisoners." (Elior Levy)
