Unemployment rate drops to 5.5% in Q2

The unemployment rate has dropped to 5.5% in the second quarter of 2011, compared to 6% in the previous quarter and 6.5% in Q2 2010.
According to the data, released by the Central Bureau of Statistics, there were 175,000 unemployed individuals in Israel in Q2 of this year. (Amnon Atad, Calcalist)
