Health Ministry: Doctors' resignations void
The Health Ministry told hospital directors that the resignations submitted by doctors as part of the recent strike measures are void in light of a legal opinion formed over the matter. "As a result, all the doctors that protested by submitting resignation letters are employees with all that implies and ward chiefs will be expected to include them in the roster as usual," the ministry noted.
Nonetheless, the ministry acknowledged the fact that it was possible that some doctors would abandon their posts from next Sunday. Among the ministry's preparations for the possibility: Cancellation of all vacations and leave and approaching the IDF with a request to cancel doctors' reserve services. (Neri Brener)
