Flotilla report: Deceased shot multiple times in back or at close range
None
The Palmer report criticizes Israel for the deaths of nine passengers onboard the Mavi Marmara, stating that “Forensic evidence showing that most of the deceased were shot multiple times, including in the back, or at close range has not been adequately accounted for in the material presented by Israel.”
While the report acknowledges that the IDF commandos had to act in self defense against a violent attack once onboard the ship, it also slammed Israel’s treatment of passengers, noting it “included physical mistreatment, harassment and intimidation, unjustified confiscation of belongings and the denial of timely consular assistance.” (Ynet)
