Official: Sudan repels rebel attack

A Sudanese official says her country's military has turned back at attack on its forces by a rebel group.
Sudan's state minister for information, Sanaa Hamad, says the rebel Sudan People's Liberation Army attacked police and soldiers in a Blue Nile state near the Ethiopian border. No casualty figures were given. (Reuters)
