Report: Turkey to sign strategic cooperation agreement with Egypt

Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to sign a strategic cooperation agreement with Egypt during his visit to the country, the Egyptian newspaper Al-Youm al-Sabea reported. Diplomatic officials said that Erdogan is expected to meet Egypt's Supreme Council of Armed Forces chief Mohamed Hussein Tantawi and Prime Minister Essam Sharaf, among others.

 

According to the report, Erdogan is set to be accompanied on his trip by Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and other officials. It is unclear when the visit will take place. (Aviel Magnezi and Elior Levy)
