Toronto Jews join Israel's social protest
Canadian youth, residents of Baycrest demonstrate support for Israeli protestors in learn-in calling for more just society
The Toronto Jewish community, led by the youth leaders of the Hashomer Hatzair Youth Movement and the residents of Baycrest Terraces, are joining together this Thursday in a learn-in to call for a more just society in Israel.
All Torontonians are invited to Baycrest Terraces, near Bathurst and Wilson, to show solidarity. The learn-in begins at 4 pm and goes well into the evening.

Thus far, the Toronto Jewish community has been too quiet about their support for the social and economic justice movement that has sprouted itself in Israel this summer.
According to Alisa Poskanzer, a Baycrest resident, “This is the most important thing that’s happened (in Israel) in the last 20 years."
Poskanzer and the Jewish youth of Toronto are ready to show their clear and strong solidarity.
