Noam Shalit meets US ambassador to UN in New York

Noam Shalit, father of captive soldier Gilad Shalit, met with US Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice in New York on Wednesday. Ambassador Rice said that Hamas was holding Gilad captive in violation of international human standarads and basic decency.
She noted that the US empathizes with the Shalit family and fully condemns the captivity. She urged Hamas to release Gilad immidiately and unconditionally. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
