Ya'alon: Matter of time till Assad relinquishes his seat

Vice Primer Moshe Ya'alon said that according to government evaluation, the situation in Syria is irreversible, adding: "It's only a matter of time until Assad relinquishes his seat."
"I don't agree that peace can be achieved through signed agreements. We've seen that the Syrian border is quiet only due to a stick and carrot policy. Quality weaponry arrives from Libya through Egypt and the IDF needs an overhaul. The best defense is offense – and it's less expensive," said Ya'alon on Thursday. (Yoav Zitun)
