Al-Zahar: Hamas may relocate HQ to Cairo

Hamas official Mahmoud al-Zahar said Friday that the movement is considering moving its headquarters from Damascus to Cairo. This is the first time that a senior Hamas official openly admits the possibility of relocation.
"All Palestinians in Syria are in distress, not just Hamas. As far as the organization's headquarters is concerned, there are many possibilities and Egypt is one of them," he said. (Elior Levy)
