US lawmakers in bid to 'repair' Turkey-Israel ties

US House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Ileana Ros-Lehtinen said that she and other lawmakers met Thursday with Turkey's US ambassador to help "repair" his country's ties with Israel.
"The participants had a frank and productive dialogue on how to ease current tensions and bring Israel and Turkey closer together, as they have been in the past," said Ros-Lehtinen spokesman Brad Goehner. (AFP)
