Abbas to decide on statehood bid details with Erdogan, Ashton

The Palestinian Authority is expected to declare the details of its statehood bid at the United Nations on Monday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Spokesperson Nabil abu Rudeina said Saturday.
According to Rudeina, Abbas will meet Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and European Union Foreign Affairs Chief Catherine Ashton in Cairo on Monday in order to discuss last minute technicalities. During the meeting, Abbas is also expected to announce whether the Palestinians will approach the General Assembly or the Security Council with their statehood bid. (Elior Levy)
