PM: Israel to adhere to peace treaty with Egypt

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a press conference Saturday night, in which he addressed the violent riots outside the Israeli Embassy in Cairo overnight, during which a mob demolished the security wall surrounding the building that houses the embassy and stormed the premises.
"We only had one mission in mind – to maintain the safety of Israeli envoys in Egypt. We acted responsibly in order for the event to end in the best way possible," he said, adding that "Israel will continue to adhere to the peace treaty with Egypt." (Attila Somfalvi)
