Defense establishment misses meeting on budget increase

Defense Ministry representatives were absent from a joint Knesset Budget and Defense sub-committee meeting. The Sunday meeting was supposed to focus on the defense establishment's request for a transfer of NIS 620 million ($168 million) to the defense budget but due to their absence, the committee members chose not to discuss the issues.
Meanwhile, the Defense Ministry sent a letter to the committee in which it emphasized that failure to transfer the funds would cause damage to the defense establishment. (Moran Azulay)
