Four Arab municipal workers were attacked Sunday in Jerusalem's Givat Shmuel neighborhood. They were taken to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem sustaining light wounds. Police estimate the attack was of nationalistic nature.
It is suspected that two men dressed in haredi clothing approached the workers, who were cleaning, and attacked them with pepper spray. They later escaped. Police forces launched a search.
Last year, two Arab cleaners working in Jerusalem's Teddy Stadium claimed they were attacked by fans of the local team. They said they were severely abused in the stadium's toilets before managing to escape. Three Jerusalem residents were charged with aggravated assault motivated by racism.
