Man behind Barak threat scare attempts suicide

A Tel Aviv resident, who was caught with a canister of tear gas near Defense Minister Ehud Barak's home four months ago, set his apartment on fire Monday, jumped off the balcony and sustained serious injuries – all because police men arrived to detain him ahead of his trial tomorrow.
The Tel Aviv fire department was called in to the scene and forced their way into the apartment in efforts to take control of the blaze. The 42 year-old man is now being cared for at the Soraski Medical Center (Eli Senyor)
