Abbas: PA to turn to Hague even if US vetoes of UN bid

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas hinted during an interview on Egyptian TV that a US veto of the PA's bid for UN recognition will not stop it from taking action in the international arena, including turning to the International Court of Justice.

Abbas said that even if a nation is not a member of the international body, it "can take part in world institutions, including the international court, which is what Israel and the US don't want." Abbas urged all Arab nations to dedicate Friday, September 23 to the support of a Palestinian state. (Elior Levy)
