Lebanese army: Syrian troops crossed border into Lebanon

A Syrian security force crossed the border into northern Lebanon and fired at Syrians who escaped there, Lebanon's army said in a statement.

According to the statement, the patrol unit returned to Syrian territory but continued to shoot, damaging a Lebanese army vehicle. No Lebanese soldiers were hit in the incident. (Roee Nahmias)
