Suspect in Tel Aviv attack charged with attempted murder

Mohamad Sofan, a 21-year-old Qalqilya resident, has been indicted for last month's attack near the south Tel Aviv club Haoman 17. According to the the indictment submitted to the Tel Aviv District Court, the suspect is charged with attempted murder, aggravated destruction, robbery, illegal stay and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Sofan was apprehended after stealing a cab and hitting border police officers and then stabbing a passerby and a policeman. (Naama Cohen-Friedman)
